Public Works

The Road and Bridge Department is responsible for approximately 470 miles of road and the associated right-of-ways, as well as the numerous bridges and drainage structures throughout Cole County.

Routine and preventative maintenance includes applying gravel to rural roads, asphalt and concrete patching and sealing, roadside ditching, vegetation control, and bridge maintenance and repair. Traffic services provided include street signing, regulatory signing, spraying, fogging, and snow and ice control.
