Cole County Emergency Medical Services (CCEMS) is the sole emergency medical services transport agency within Cole County. We respond to over 10,000 calls for service each year. To ensure our citizens and visitors receive timely emergency care, CCEMS staffs five (5) Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances and one EMS Battalion Chief 24hrs a day. Additionally, three (3) peak units are deployed 12hrs a day to increase our ability to handle the call volume. We employ nearly 70 Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Medical Dispatchers.
Cole County Emergency Medical began operations on July 19, 2009, when the service was established as a county department, which is supported through sales tax and service revenue.
