The Michael Prenger Family Center operates a 14 bed, up to level 4, behavioral management residential program for juveniles under Court jurisdiction

Our residential treatment program is typically six to nine months in duration, with six (6) male beds and eight (8) female beds available. We offer a variety of treatment services including therapies (individual, group, family, transitional), community integration, educational services through the Jefferson City Public School District, community based psychological, medical, and dental services, and case management services.

​ Our residential program is run in accordance with state and federal guidelines; residential staff are trained on and knowledgeable about operating procedures.

Residential Telephone Policy:
​ Phone hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

​ Residents are allowed ONE phone call, not to exceed 10 minutes, with team approved contacts, three times a week, during phone hours.

​ Residents are allowed contact with their attorneys, Juvenile Officers, and assigned case workers at any time during regular business hours.

Residential Visitation Policy:
​ Visitation Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.

​ Only visitors who are approved by the residents family support team and listed on the residents contact list will be allowed to visit.

​ Residents are allowed one (1) visit, per weekend day, not to exceed one hour, with team approved contacts.

​ Residents are allowed contact with their attorneys, Juvenile Officers, and assigned case workers at any time during regular business hours.

​ Each visitor MUST have a photo ID.

​ No more than two (2) team approved contacts are allowed per visit.

​ Visits must be scheduled by the visiting party a minimum of 48 hours in advance.

​Visiting times are strictly enforced, please arrive and depart on time.

​ No food or drinks are permitted during the visitation.

​ No electronics are allowed during the visit.

​Visitors are not allowed to give any items, personal or otherwise, to the resident.
