STERTZER ROAD - ROAD CLOSED

STERTZER ROAD CLOSED
Construction work on the Railroad Spur Extension and Trans-Load Facility has begun in Eastern Cole County. Don Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc. is performing the work. The contractor has closed Stertzer Road, effective immediately, to remove rock from the rock blast performed yesterday. Detour signs are in place for the closure and expected to last the day. The motoring public is asked to avoid these areas and use alternate routes for the next couple of weeks while crews are working.
The Public Works Department understands there will be inconveniences due to this project and we are being proactive in dealing with potential issues up front. We are excited about the long term benefits of this project and appreciate the public’s cooperation in this matter.
