Cole County Public Works will be submitting an application no later than April 1, 2026 to seek coverage under Missouri Department of Natural Resources General Permit MOR04C - the comprehensive permit for municipal separate storm sewer systems. This will be an extension of the County's existing stormwater quality program. A public meeting to review the proposed permit application and an outline of the proposed Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) will be held as part of the County Commission meeting on February 24, 2026. The draft general permit, as well as, the county's application and an outline of the proposed Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) is posted at https://colecounty.org/505/Stormwater.
