On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at approximately 10:48 pm, the Cole County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 5600 block of Scherr Drive to investigate a weapons offense. It was later determined that that the house had been the target of a Robbery over marijuana.
Upon arrival, deputies found that the front door of the residence had been forced open and several shots, over five, were fired from both inside and outside the house. There were no reported injuries. Investigators were called out to the scene and were able to recover several shell casings, as well as other evidence. Three subjects were detained near the scene and later arrested. A fourth subject was arrested this morning. All of them were arrested for Robbery 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. They were transported to the Cole County Jail without incident pending formal charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
