MAINTENANCE WORKER I - SEASONAL

The Cole County Public Works Department is seeking a candidate for a seasonal / summer Maintenance Worker I position. Candidates must have a valid Missouri driver’s license and the ability to lift, stand or kneel for long periods. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB: This seasonal / summer help position is a manual and semi-skilled work position involved in a variety of public works maintenance activities. These activities may include, but not limited to; pothole patching, flagging, asphalt or concrete work, painting curbs, striping roads, mowing grass or trimming brush. The individual in this position will report to the assigned Crew Supervisor.

The Cole County Public Works department is seeking a qualified candidate for an Equipment Operator I position. CLASS B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with an air brakes endorsement of preferred. However, entry-level training is provided.

Starting salary of $17.79 per hour (without CDL) or $18.75 per hour (with CDL).
