NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Cole County Commission,

Courthouse Annex, Room 200, 311 East High Street, Jefferson City, Missouri

65101, until 9:00 A.M., Friday, April 12, 2024. The bids will be opened and read

aloud at the Cole County Commission, Courthouse Annex, Room 200, 311 East High

Street at 9:00 A.M. on that same day.

The proposed work includes placing a chip seal surface on existing chip seal and asphalt

roads throughout the County for:

2024 CHIP SEAL PROGRAM

Project No. 2024-502-1

All equipment, material, and workmanship must be in accordance with the plans,

specifications, and contract documents on file with the Director of Cole County Public

Works, 5055 Monticello Road, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109.

Plans and specifications may be viewed and downloaded online in the bids section at

www.colecounty.org. A hard copy of the plans and specifications will not be provided. All

contractors wishing to bid on this project shall submit the plan holder contact information

form found in the specifications to prior to the bid opening.

All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with requirements of the

prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri, Section 290.210 through 290.340, RSMo.

1986.

A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount to

five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each proposal.

A one-year Performance and Guarantee Bond is required.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities therein

to determine which is the lowest and best bid and to approve the bond.
