Andrea Putnam began working for the Cole County Sheriff’s Department as a jailer in the Cole County Jail. With a background in biology, Andrea was excited when the opportunity arose to move up and utilize her animal experience as the Animal Control Officer.
Prior to coming to the Cole County Sheriff’s Department, Andrea worked as the chief naturalist for Missouri State Parks. Here she spent many years educating Missourians on the flora and fauna in our wonderful state. She also has experience working as an EMT for Cole County.
Born and raised in Jefferson City, Andrea is proud to call Cole County her home. If she isn’t spending time with family or her three dogs, you can find her kayaking, camping or just walking our county trails. She enjoys visiting with our citizens when she is on patrol so don’t hesitate to wave for a chat.
